Safeguarding: Trustees’ legal responsibilities

This course has been specifically designed to help trustees review safeguarding arrangements, as advised by the Charity Commission in this recent regulatory alert.

The session will address governance, management arrangements and performance in relation to safeguarding as well as practical aspects of running a charity.

Following completion, trustees will be able to identify and plan actions needed to ensure the charity is meeting its legal safeguarding ‘duty of care’ and maintain safeguarding arrangements in line with legislation, government guidelines and regulatory requirements.

We are hosting this specially developed, heavily subsidised event exclusively for charity trustees, as part of our community objectives.

This course is in line with Charity Commission and best practice guidelines, as well as local safeguarding board requirements.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The nearest train station is approximately 3.5 miles away and the venue is also on a local bus route, however anybody travelling by public transport is urged to double check travel times before booking. For those arriving by car, ample free street parking is available at the venue.
